Summer Glau-time at AfterEllen.com. Dorothy Snarker waxes lyrical about Summer Glau in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Firefly (with some nice pictures).

From the article:
She hints that despite their brother-sister charade, there could be a little something between the teen and the robot. Is it just me, or is that wrong on every level?

I'm glad it wasn't only my warped and perverted mind that wondered about that. When a grown man uses a time machine to send his 15-year old self a hot babe robot to be with him 24-7 you do have to wonder about what's going to happen. Watching the pilot I was suprised he even bothered to go after his mother. I'd have been "Yeah, she can look after herself. Now you and me babe..."
Ladies and gentleman, Mr Xander Harris:

She's a sex bot. I mean, what guy doesn't dream about that? A beautiful girl with no other thought but to please you, willing to do anything...

Too many girls. I miss Oz. He'd get it. He wouldn't say anything,
but he'd get it.

Sex with robots is more common than most people think...
The premise lends itself to dramatic exploration of the nature of objectification. It also lends itself to dramatic objectification.

Hope Sar-uh Con-uh was the Terma-verse's first SWC and not its last.
"Watching the pilot..."???

Is this yet another one of those "everyone has already seen the pilot somehow" situations?
Haunt: It was leaked a while back.
She hints that despite their brother-sister charade, there could be a little something between the teen and the robot. Is it just me, or is that wrong on every level?

Dear Dorothy,

Did you watch Firefly? Hello the River/Simon relationship. What do you think was going on there? After all it's like what Tim Minear said "Well... it's not like we didn't notice."
Sex with robots is more common than most people think...

Fact. It's the hidden menace in our schools. Won't somebody think of the child-borgs ?

Is this yet another one of those "everyone has already seen the pilot somehow" situations?

Everyone in the WORLD except you Haunt ! Muhahahahaha ! ;-). The pre-air pilot leaked last summer, AFAIK the new version with re-shoots hasn't made it into the wild yet (there was a school schoot-out which, in the wake of Virginia Tech, was deemed to be too much - pity, it was a powerful scene and had some cool little Terminatory bits. It also set up Summer's big "reveal" so presumably they'll still need to do something along those lines - quotes BTW, because who doesn't know she's a Terminator by now ?).

Re: the article, can you even be "overly flexible" ? Not counting the time Mr Fantastic became super stretchy and couldn't hold his coffee I mean.

She hints that despite their brother-sister charade, there could be a little something between the teen and the robot. Is it just me, or is that wrong on every level?
(my emphasis)

Err, yep Dot it's just you. Cos of the whole charade aspect see.

(unless they also pretend to each other that they're brother and sister but then that's weird anyway)
Josh Friedman has said that he wrote the part of Cameron for Summer. Since she "thought they would want statuesque, icy blondes", he evidently didn't think of telling her before the audition...
...The screenwriter of Black Dahlia and War of the Worlds? Really?

I'm still definitely watching this, but...urgh...
