Sexy and geeky is the way we like our slayers! Vote for Felicia Day (Potential Vi) as the sexiest geek of 2007 in the Wired poll.

I put in my vote for Felicia, but Joss Whedon and Danica McKellar, Winnie from The Wonder Years and now a voluptous mathmematician/actress, are also on the list. This is a tough choice!

And also Kari Byron, top buster of myth! :-)
Okay, obviously biased here, but my vote is for Joss, as I find character, brains, and wit to be height of sexiness.
A bunch of hot women and two men (so far). Can't argue with that, don't usually find men sexy. My bias. However, Joss is a great addition to the list. Can Nathan's brilliance, charm and green apple be far behind?
What a terribly awkward page to navigate
My vote goes to Munn.

Munn's going to win, of course. But Felicia could be in second.
Mmm, Kari Byron. I've no idea how they justified it (though I think the phrase "ratings winner" might have been involved ;) but the episode where they created a computer model of her bum while she posed in white sort of long-johns was ... memorable ;).

And little Winnie Cooper all growed up. When you have a maths theorem named after you and you've written a book designed to help more girls get into maths and you look like that, you get my vote and no messing. Nice one Ms McKeller.

(also, am I reading it wrong or is Ms Munn actually way behind Jade Raymond, Danica McKeller and a few others ? In which case, why so sure she'll win ?)
I voted for Felicia and Joss, but I had to give Danica McKeller a vote, too. My childhood crush grows up to still be super-hot *and* smart? Whatever the manly equivalent of swooning is, I do that every time I read about her.
That was Kari Byron's first episode of Mythbusters and the one which made her a legend. In my mind, anyway!
I voted for Felicia, Danica and Joss. The first two is because well, they're hot. And Joss, I will vote for Joss in any poll.
Gave it up for Felicia, because she was my second-favourite Potential after Amanda, but that was mostly because Sarah Hagan was on Freaks and Geeks.

Also had to give it to Joss, because why can't a heterosexual guy tell a heterosexual guy that he thinks his booty's fly?

And finally, to Kristen Bell, because Veronica Mars is still one of my favourite shows, Forgetting Sarah Marshall looks hilarious, and I've been waiting for Fanboys for what seems like forever.
Nolan; i guess it just raises the question of how you'd know that, for some people at least. Opinions seldom form without referents (except those held by politicians) so some folks wonder what you could possibly be using *grin.
Christina Hendricks, currently recently in Life and Mad Men, is/was a huge D&D geek (as she reported on her brother's podcast a couple years back.) And she is totally gorgeous, and totally approachable. Not to neglect to mention Our Mrs. Reynolds.

Same here. My friends (not F&G watchers) couldn't appreciate Amanda the same way I did.

Joss you've got it go-in' on!

"And finally, to Kristen Bell, because Veronica Mars is still one of my favourite shows, Forgetting Sarah Marshall looks hilarious, and I've been waiting for Fanboys for what seems like forever. "

And maybe because Kristen is ridiculously hot? ;)
I voted for Joss, partly because I enjoy any chance to vote for Joss, and partly because I have no idea who all those other people are (but many of them sure are cute ...)

And man, Joss is ZOOMIN' up the list ... he was way down near the bottom when I first looked at this thing this morning/afternoon. Go Joss!
Joss and Kristen Bell get my vote. Kristen is beyond amazing, and not just because she starred in Veronica Mars, one of the best shows of all time (after the Whedonverse shows, naturally). Even Joss acted in it!

I can't even figure out how to find the contestants, other than the three on the linked page, much less submit someone. But if I could, I'd submit Joss ;-)
Doesn't the scroll bar within the page (beside the nominees) show up for you Shey (just scroll up and down to see everyone) ? And to vote you just press the arrows beside the blurb (up for a "Yay", down for a "Nay"). I'd agree it's not exactly a paragon of clear design though.

That was Kari Byron's first episode of Mythbusters and the one which made her a legend.

No way Dana5140 ?!? Wow. Seems like when it showed in the UK they played them totally out of order because she'd been on it loads before the legendary bum scan over here.

Never seen 'Freaks and Geeks' (keep meaning to pick up the DVD at some point) but Amanda was my favourite Potential also. In fact she was the only one I really didn't want to die. Somehow I think Joss knew this ;).
Scroll bar .... duhhh, thanks Saje. Brain not functioning, required time to recover from the trauma of holidays with dysfunctional family, at least two weeks. ;-)
Voted for Joss, gotta go with the sexy brain.
And hey .... where are the other guys? Not exactly a level playing field, gender wise.
I dunno, no hot nerd list is complete without Tina Fey.

Go. Now. Buy. Watch.

hot nerd list

Nerd != Geek, though Tina Fey should definitely be on a Hot Geek list.

Edited to clarify :) (Saje made me do it!)

And a hot list ;).

Re: F&G, been waiting for it to be released here so I can rent it but that's starting to look like a slightly forlorn hope so I may have to take the plunge and buy it.
(Saje made me do it!)

And you owe me a million pounds *waits expectantly* ...
You should probably grab a long book... or some kind of pocket universe to observe ;)

ETA - speaking of geeky, J!NX has a newish t-shirt that might appeal to Whedonesquers. I'm tempted by their "The cake is a lie" (Portal) t-shirt :)

That's it, i'm returning 'How to Get Rich by Italicising' this afternoon, none of the advice is worth a damn.

Knew I should've bought 'Success through Exclamation Points !!!" instead.

(you owe ! me ! a million ! pounds) *waits, but somewhat less expectantly*
*thumbs through copy of 'How to Win Friends and Influence People Through Strategic Use of Emoticons'* ;)
;U) :0) Saje 1)000)000 ;$) ! !

;-)
Oh, so close... if only you'd italicized one of the smileys and then used an ellipses... ;)

IIRC, Christina said that she was disappointed that the Serenity role-playing game didn't include Saffron.
Gag Halfrunt: She wasn't the only one disappointed :)

As I understand it, the problem was one of split licensing (the Firefly license was a different license from the Serenity license, so the Serenity RPG can't include characters like Saffron or Badger that only appeared in the TV show, although it can include thinly-veiled clones of them with different names).

Love your nick, btw.
"IIRC, Christina said that she was disappointed that the Serenity role-playing game didn't include Saffron."

Saffron is a Serenity role-playing game.
