Early DVD details, cover pic and release date for SMG's "Southland Tales". It will be released March 18th, 2008.

I'm so glad to hear that it's finally coming out! I can finally take my ear off the ground, and possibly wash it!

I suspect there will probably be a Director's Cut sometime in the future so I might hold out for that. I didn't get the chance to see the film in the cinema, and to be honest there was so little publicity surrounding it here that by the time I realised it was out, it had already left cinemas, so I don't think it was on release for very long.

So I am eager to see it, but I suspect that there will be another edition with a lot more bonus features. I'm not sure a Director's Cut with all the missing scenes restored would necessarily be a better film, but it would be nice if the theatrical cut were included too so we can decide for ourselves.
