(SPOILER) 'Supernatural' Creator Eric Kripke Interview. Mentioned among the topics discussed is an interesting contribution from Ben Edlund, who wrote and produced wonderful episodes of Angel and Firefly. Warning:vast spoilers for the remaining episodes of this season's Supernatural.

I found Mr. Kripke's mention of Ben Edlund and the idea of demons being formerly human interesting.

Fascinating interview. And Ben Edlund is doing amazing work on Supernatural--"Bad Day at Black Rock" was genius and so were "Hollywood Babylon" and "Nightshifter". I'm so glad he made the suggestion about humans being demons; it's already added a fascinating element to the show, and I hope the writers continue to explore it and its ramifications for Dean.
"Nightshifter" is my favorite episode of the second season. It was utterly perfect: the writing, the acting and that song at the end was edited in such a way that it sends chills down my spine every time I watch it.

I normally avoid spoilers like the plague but couldn't resist linking this one here, not just because I've liked Ben's work but for that small peek into the thoughts of the writers as they're working.

And hee! I was edited! Did I misspell something? Sorry, it's been a long day.
I thought that revelation was a brilliant twist. It really gives the show and the characters more layers. Great work, Edlund. I have to agree his episodes are some of the best. My favorite being "Bad Day at Black Rock." So funny yet still so dark. I'm so glad he joined the show.
LOVE THIS SHOW. And I love Ben's episodes. He and Sera and Raelle have written the best episodes of the series. Last week's was written by Ben I believe, and it was great. "Nightshifter" is definitely my favorite of his.
