Is 'The View' not good? It's a serious question. I don't live in America and I have never seen the show.
Looking at the website, it would appear to be like a show we have here in Britain called 'Loose Women', which I find compulsive viewing whenever I am "working from home". That being the case, it's probably a perfect outlet for Gellar.
I have this vision of her ending up in years to come making films for Lifetime, which is not a criticism or a putdown. I love the concept of Lifetime.

Is that the one that pretty much furnishes Channel 5 with their afternoon movies ? Not a huge fan if so.
And sometimes I really wish I could "work" from home and then, whenever i'm off sick, I watch daytime TV. It's an instant cure (for the desire, not for being sick - i'm not suggesting daytime TV as some kind of alternative therapy ;).

Your mileage may vary (if that's not an American expression; oh, I guess it is, isn't it — or it'd be "Your kilometrage may vary").

No, The View is not good. The only time it was ever entertaining was when Rosie O'Donnell was on it making trouble.
I doubt the show is like "Loose Women" unless it's about boring women with lame senses of humour (minus Joy). I haven't seen it since Whoopi (who I like) but I know Sherri, the new co-host is frequently in the media for being dumb as rocks.
Ugh, I hate Lifetime, I hope she never does it and I think it's an insult. Plus, Sarah doesn't like the concept of Lifetime, she once said something about the type of films she was offered on there (after AMC). She called them disease of the week movies and she's completely right. Lifetime has the schlockiest programming known to woman.

Had been wondering that..may have been for TAIB, but since that died, may be discussing CARE, or other non work stuff.

Still, I can understand why SMG won't do anything similar to Lifetime TV movies (although Amber Benson was on Lifetime recently in a romantic comedy that was sort of interesting).

Well, it's presented by women with a sense of humour, so I suppose that's close. Sheree Murphy always makes me laugh with her obsession with cleaning products. Maybe it's just me.
As for the Lifetime Movie Network - I'm right there with TV movies like 'Why I Wore Lipstick To My Mastectomy' - and Emma Caulfield starred in an enjoyable horror called 'In My Mother's Footsteps'.
As to Gellar's appearance on The View, I believe it was originally to promote both 'Possession' and the second wave of cinema dates for 'The Air I Breathe', although these have now been cancelled and the film has been pulled from theatres. The DVD is scheduled for release in May or June, I believe.
