David Boreanaz to attend Paley Center Buffy Reunion? According to this, David Boreanaz will be attending the Q&A for the Buffy reunion. If true, someone HAS to do a dvd.

I thnk if we get confirmation from David Boreanaz and the Paley Center, there may be a call to have this reunion moved to the Coliseum. There's still plenty of time before we know for sure.

Dude, I wasn't sure which David this post was talking about. (David Greenwalt? David Boreanaz?) This is so amazing! I'm dying here in Portland with no money and transportation!

Here's an idea: Maybe we could all write letters to let the Paley Festival know how many of us would be willing to buy a DVD of this event? I'd be game for that. Would this be prudent?

Maybe someone should suggest that they actually, you know, televise this, since...

1) BIG deal to the Whedonites of the world.

2) Hello - television program reunion held at a museum of television and radio. Like, duh. (Or, ok, by the museum, which now has a new name. You know what I mean.)

3.) They planned on something as major as this & announced it, but screwed up/didn't plan carefully enough for the ticket sales.

4.) There's a serious lack of anything new/good to watch, and the awards shows aren't drawing the crowds like they used to.

Too bad the Big Purple can't pull some strings and get his loyal fans who've supported the writers' strike tickets or something. (Yes, I'm back in Make-Believe World. Come in - the water's fine.)

As established in a prior thread, this isn't always true. 2005's can be gotten on their website as DVDs. But 2007's are only available to watch at the Center(s), or in excerpt form videos online.

So, it really comes down to an official word one way or the other from Paley.

Hey this news comes from WENN who are notoriously unreliable so I would really doubt this news is true. I think someone there just assumed David would be going without actually checking the facts.

Well, David was recently spotted just pushing a shopping trolley around his local Bristol Farms. That calls to me of a man who's bored and looking for something to occupy his non-working days. Something like guaranteed fan love at the-
Biggest. Event. Ever.

Or perhaps he was just hungry.

And while wishes are horses, can I put in an order of 'Aly' with a side of 'Tony' for this event, please. And a topping of 'Charisma' would see much squee-ing, too.

What I *really* hope is that the Buffy love translates to an 'Angel' panel in the future. I'd swim the whole damn Pacific Ocean to get to that one.

They did an Angel one back in 2001, so that might negate the necessity for another one in the near future.

Now I only have to find some tickets and win the lottery (that I don't play) to pay for my flight and hotel, why do i have to live in the UK WHY??? The big ole green monster that is my jealousy (I call him Grinch-y) is honestly taking over my life right now, and if this is true I think I may cease to exist and actually become Grinch-y. Ah well hopefully they'll be dvd released (the day after would be good) and then Mr Purple Dude Joss will say something like "Hey Buffy cast peeps how about we go and do this in Scotland RIGHT NOW" obviously they'd agree and I'd be happy again YAY!

I spoke to a person at the Paley Center in NYC and he assured me there would be a dvd approximately 2 weeks after the event.
What he's trying to do now is find funds for a podcast.
That would mean you could see streaming video of the panel discussion when it's happening in LA or shortly after.
He doesn't know if will happen, but they are trying. He also said the Buffy Reunion would be the ONLY event where they'd do this. So keep the fingers crossed.

Does anyone have any ideas of anything we could do here to raise cash for a podcast coz I'd be more than happy to skip work to watch that, plus being able to watch it live would help alot with my Grinch-y like depression over not being able to go.

It's up to the Paley Center to find their own internal funding to set up a stream of the thing. We can't do it for 'em. If they're putting out a DVD afterwards - which I'm sure they will, they'll make a bunch of money from it - I think that's pretty cool.

Also, Joss is supposedly doing a convention in the UK this year. I don't know if it's been covered here yet.

I won't believe until I have the DVD (and copy for safe keeping, of course) in my hands. I have been hurt before you know.

Just imagining all those pretty talented people (or talented pretty people, works great both ways) we watched and followed (and obsessed over) for years sitting next to each other... near brings tears into my eyes.

You know what would be marvelous, if there was a Whedon Reunion. With everyone from all three cult shows. They'll need a bigger stage and I'll need to stop mixing up reality with exaggerated uber-fantasy... but marvelous nonetheless.

That would be amazingly great if it's true, and there were a podcast, or a DVD of it.
Of course, if it sold out at $750 per ticket, what are the chances that it will be passed on to the rest of us in any affordable media? Or that they would still be adding people to it, when it's already sold out?
But Hey! Any rumors yet about Charisma or Alyson attending?
