Joss tends to write exactly the type of women I fall for in real life, in terms of personality: very sweet female characters, who are usually also very smart and strong persons. Real life friends tell me I fall for cute, sweet, and intelligent every single time (IQ = sexy and if you add 'huggability', I'm sold). So for me, the top 3 Whedon characters'd be: Fred, Willow and Kaylee. Possibly in that order.

Fortunately Joss also writes believable characters, so these women are out there, I'm glad to report (now I just need to find one to settle down with ;-)).

And also, slightly disturbing: a girl wanting to date Sylar from Heroes. Yikes...

Very head-scratching that none of the Firefly men are on that list. Jayne, is well, Jayne and there's no way I would date him (it would take a lot of reformation, and quite frankly, I don't think he's up to the task). Mal's handsome for sure, but always walking around like he got up on the wrong side of the bed. Wash would make me laugh, so absolutely yes. Book has maybe a secret too many for me, and Simon is a bit uptight.

That said, I have a bizarre love for Jack Shephard. Bizarre I guess because so many people seem to hate his character. Is he so morally good and upright like the article says? In the Season 4 opening episode of Lost he would have killed Locke but there was no bullet chambered in the gun. So I think he's overcoming the morality thing.

The one that made me laugh was that someone wanted to go on a date with Jack Bauer! I can perfectly understand fancying the character, but what on Earth would a date with him be like? He'd torture your ex-boyfriend, get you kidnapped by terrorists ...

Of course, if that is what today's young lady is looking for from a date it might explain why I haven't been on many recently.

Fred. Back when I watched Angel season three, I was very much in love with Fred. And back when I watched Buffy seasons 2 and 3 (largely because I was about 10) Willow was my dream girl. I think both of them deserve a place on this list. But I guess I'm getting greedy.
