Cineprov! - An Evening of Buffy Fun. "Atlanta's premier movie mockery show is excited to announce An Evening of Buffy Fun in conjunction with Relapse Theatre".

Cineprov!, Atlanta's premier movie mockery show is excited to announce An Evening of Buffy Fun in conjunction with Relapse Theatre. They will be spoofing the original BTVS movie, then "teaming up with our friends in the Relapse Theatre family and presenting a stage version of Once More With Feeling."

March 8th at 9 pm (doors open at 8:30)

Tickets: $10.00 and $5.00 with Student ID

As far as I know, they have rights to show the movie, and the after-show they are doing is not the traditional "Once More with Feeling" played along with the show, it's a re-enactment or possibly a spoof with live actors. I'm not sure how the legalese would play out, but I don't believe they are actually showing any TV episodes at all. Hopefully this would not be an issue.

Well, it does say "a stage version of Once More With Feeling". At the very least that means using the music, lyrics, and dialogue. That would still require some sort of clearance.

If only I had known about this two weeks ago when I was. I'm in Atlanta tonight and could have fairly easily gone. Ah well. Hanging out with the nephews and then dinner with friends was, ultimately, more important. But it still would have been very cool to have gone.
