Variety article on Jeanine Basinger's influence in Hollywood. She heads the film studies department at Wesleyan University; Joss Whedon was her student. Contains brief quotage from Mr. Whedon himself.

She's had a pretty amazing breadth of influence on the industry- check out the list of former students in the article!

Her policies are legendary, draconian -- and inarguably effective: No missed classes. No extensions. No exceptions. (She even holds her senior seminar on Sunday!) "Jeanine would say your only excuse for tardiness was death," remembers "Cold Case" producer Liz Garcia.

Hee! She's Professor Walsh. Only good, I'm sure.
She's one of the keynote speakers at the upcoming SLAYAGE 3 conference in June.
Sounds like a great teacher.
dreamlogic, that's exactly what I thought when I read the article! ;-)
