But I expect there was something else in Book's bowl.
ETA: Yeah, I think this is all stuff he's said before at cons that's been linked here. I'm pretty sure the soup bowl thing has been said before.

Including the soup. We've definitely done this; it's all been known since November.

Well, that explains a lot. I need to stop drinking so much soup. (If only I can remember that).

Yeah, that one never came from Ron. It came after Nathan called Joss at Serenity LA to ask if Morena could reveal Inara's secret, and Joss said no but she could reveal Book's.
theonetruebix | May 12, 17:05 CET
That is all.

Book: They’ll come at you sideways. It’s how they think. It’s how they move. Sidle up and smile. Hit you where you’re weak. Sort of man they're like to send believes hard. Kills and never asks why.
Mal: It's of interest to me how much you seem to know about that world.
Book: I wasn't born a Shepherd, Mal.
Mal: Have to tell me about that sometime.
Book: [Sighing] No, I don't.

Me too. After seeing Serenity and how seeing how he seemed to know The Operative's tactics and then looking back on the show and remembering how he always seemed rather well versed in the thinking of a criminal mind, I thought he might have been an operative.
This is all new to me, actually. I'm terribly excited for this comic to come out.
HowlingLupe | May 12, 19:59 CET
Yeah Operative is a popular belief quantumac/HowlingLupe. I reckon he was higher up though, someone that deployed Operatives and so knew what they were capable of (or, best of both worlds, he started out as an Op and moved up from the "ranks"). Not long until we actually know though, woot ;).
Saje, friend man, I love you.
Cheers bud ;). If it were up to the Beatles, that'd be all i'd need - biology, unfortunately, is a bit more stringent in its requirements. Stupid biology.
Saje | May 12, 20:05 CET
Have I been drinking too much soup or do we not know yet when that will be?

And I don't remember any of that. But I also don't drink soup. I'm in a paradox.

This has all been known before. This will all be known again.
I drank some mushroom soup once and spent the next six hours watching my hand move.
Ohh colliding nonrealities.

"Book is best known for his greatest failure."
Now it's:
"Book's greatest victory was his worst defeat."
'Victory' is new to me. I can't wait to read this.
