YAY!

*does the snoopy dance*
geez, that's a great price. i've got my order in!
What kind of store would sell this that is not online?
Lost hundreds of years ago, the Slayer's tarot is an important artifact from Slayer history that came into existence after a group of women shared a vision of a rogue Slayer who would love a vampire and who would be aided in her fight against evil by a group of mystical allies. The heretical prophecy led to the suppression of the deck by the Watcher's Council.

Did we know this before? That Buffy was predicted by a prophecy?
buffylives - Maybe a comics shop, as long as it doesn't just sell comics. You could try one of those scary comics shops that that also sell action figures, or one of those comic shops that are more like "geek chic" alternative bookstores.
I don't like the blurb at all. In fact, I don't even think it's (gasp!) canon.

If there was prior knowledge that Buffy would fall in love with a vampire (just the one?) surely the WC would have taken early, decisive action. Plus, Giles would know.

I find the back story entirely unnecessary- since we'd still buy the cards if they just stood on a street corner and yelled "Get yer Buffy tarot 'ere!"

This might be a spoiler (too late), but I thought the plan was the backstory of the tarot was going to be tied into some future issue. Maybe I misunderstood though...so don't take my word for it.

"Heretical" suggests that the WC didn't believe the tarot was true. They probably disregarded it and eventually forgot about it. Typical WC hubris.
