Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on DVD. Press Release for the Complete First Season on DVD. To be released August 19th.

Oddly enough, I'd imagine that's near the premiere date for the new season.
ooo, a Summer dance rehearsal... but sadly not her audition tape by the looks of the extras listing.
I believe they will also be re-running the show from August. Good to see they're giving the show maximum exposure to improve its chances. Makes me feel more optimistic about Dollhouse.
Speaking as a purchaser of Blu-rays, why didn't you mention that the Blu-ray is coming as well?

Yeah it says "just in time for the premiere of season 2 on Fox".

Trying to put bias to one side, it seems a bit odd to not have Cameron anywhere on the cover and I wish they told us how many commentaries (though I guess we know it's more than one ;). Will very probably pick this up though.
Kinda disappointing that Summer isn't on the cover, but still looks pretty cool! Might make this my first Blu-Ray purchase.
Reruns start on Monday 8/11. Two hour season premiere of Prison Break is on August 25th, so I expect TSCC to start 9/1.
Don't they realize that Summer on the cover would be enough to make people buy it sight unseen? :)
Will definitely pick this up, and I think the episodes will play better uninterrupted than they did when first broadcast. I know not everybody agrees, but I have high hopes for the second season. And Summer is superb so far: a whole new dimension of terminator.
I'm hoping they'll shed some light on exactly what happened during the production process that Cameron shifted in personality so much...they really did lose me a little bit from the first episode to the second. All of a sudden she can't blend in anymore? It didn't work as well as when she could. For me, the entire idea was that these are robotic beings and yet they can act human..but that it is really all an act and all just programming. That in itself is much more unsettling (and worked with the premise better) than having machines act like machines.

I also have no idea why Summer isn't on the cover. Press releases tend to be slightly tentative, also, so maybe there will be a finalized image coming soon.

True but it gave Cameron a much less obvious arc (and would also lose a lot of opportunities for fish-out-of-water humour). That said, I agree it was a bit jarring but though they might explain it in the show itself I think Josh Friedman is fairly happy with the response he gave in interview (I actually quite like the idea that she might be acting like a Terminator deliberately to fulfil Sarah's expectations and in doing so allay her fears even if it doesn't explain why she's like it even when it would serve the mission not to be, or when Sarah's not around) and might not bother to address it in the "text".
