The Futon Critic reviews the Dollhouse pilot script.
It's probably the most thorough examination so far and the reviewer says "this could be Whedon's most accessible work to date".

I think so too. There are no monsters, no spaceships, no Western elements. People only have to understand the premise and some have to get over the title and then the show could really hit.

Yet another shiny review. Wich of course is great and happy puppies.
I'm just waiting for the episode where someone wants Echo to work in a triplemeatpalace and *GASP*, is the meat human? Dolls? Whedon?

Also, while I agree that Dollhouse is in some ways more accessible than other Whedonverse shows, I definitely feel like it's much less accessible in other ways. It's premise is definitely a lot easier to get into, but I think this show could get a little too dark for a great many people to handle.
