Eric Balfour signs on for "Silver Cord." The film centers on director James Ordonez's brother, "who came back to life after being declared clinically dead on multiple occasions."

Balfour, who played Willow and Xander's BFF Jesse--who was such a BFF that they failed to mention him even once after he died--joins the cast alongside Val Kilmer and Arielle Kebbel.

The story said he had a "recurring role" on Buffy... I really wouldn't call being killed off in the first two episodes a "recurring role." Just an observation :)
I always thought that it was odd that Xander could lose his best friend in the second episode, commonly an extremely traumatic event, and then never mention it again. I suppose they couldn't have such a dark event cloud the shows early history. Anyway, congrats to Eric Balfour!
Well it stars one of my favorite actors on the planet, Val Kilmer, so I'm already on board. Also sounds intriguing. And Eric Balfour definitely deserves a break, he was amazing on Six Feet Under.
Oh, I didn't mean to knock Eric, Shey. I too loved his role as Gabriel Dimas on Six Feet Under.

I know .... Whedon related topics & all that ;-) He was good in Convictions as well, the short-lived lawyer show also featuring J. August Richards.
Interesting, didn't know he was in Convictions.
