Repo! The Genetic Opera gets US release date! According to Tony's news page, Repo finally has a North American release date, and so does the soundtrack!

On September 30th you can buy the soundtrack, and then US viewers will get to see this macabre musical on the 7th of November.

In other Tony news, he's narrating a special on UK UFO encounters.

They should advertise this more, it has potential. I'm excited to see it!
How old is the news on that page? Specifically, this:
We can now confirm that 'Ripper' may be given a green light for development. Although one step nearer the possibility of becoming a reality, it is still subject to there being a script. If made, it would be a one-off 90 minute TV movie.
...which appears to say, well, nothing really. Is this anything more than just reminding people that it's still on his mind? I'd love to see this happen.

Staying on topic, can't wait for Repo! November isn't too far away...though wasn't the original release date LAST November?
i can't wait to hear this soundtrack..when is the UK release date?
Don't have time to read through all the Comic Con post comments previous...but fyi REPO is doing an event there too. On the Thursday schedule:

9:00-10:00 PM
Repo! The Genetic Opera First Look
See what director Darren Lynn Bousman has been up to since directing the last three Saw movies: Repo! The Genetic Opera. Check out the phenomenon that is this Goth Rock musical with sneak peeks and the new trailer plus stories from Darren and the actors themselves, including Alexa Vega (Spy Kids), Bill Moseley (The Devilís Rejects), and Ogre (the band Skinny Puppy), among others. Room 6B

No ASH? *sniff*
I hope this came to theatres here.
narse I think Liz (Tony's webmistress) likes to keep news up on the page until either after the event has ended (Cons, TV show appearances, etc) or until there is new news to replace it with. Hence the Ripper mention still up. It was altered a bit not too long ago, wording-wise.

Repo! was supposed to have been released this spring here in the States, but it got bumped back for some reason.

Personally, I'm of two minds over this movie. I wanna see it for Tony (He looks deliciously evil and rather freaky in his organ-harvesting garb. Plus? Singing.) but I'm concerned about the gore factor. I know it has to have a certain amount of "blood and guts" (Pardon the pun) but I'm worried it's gonna go over the top and be too squicky for me to be comfortable watching.

I guess the question is: How much do I love ASH?

the FAT indian The soundtrack release might be worldwide. Dunno for sure.

ProgGrrl Tony's probably too busy with myriad other projects for the ComicCon. Shame, since he isn't over here all that often any more, and hasn't done a con in quite some time.

If only Fate had been kinder to me & my fellow convention planners...
Wow, Repo too? Can't wait!
I keep thinking Repo Man...with Emilio Estevez.
