I think the premise of the show is well known enough as not to be regarded as a spoiler. If it's specific details then yes it would be a spoiler.

Well now I'm spoiled. Speaking of Dollhouse, did that viral game just die out quietly? For a little while it distracted me from telling myself not to seek out that script everyone was talking about.

@Sunfire, I suspect that the stuff we thought was official DOLLHOUSE viral/ARG may have been fan-created...or Fox was, um, foxing around with us. Mainly because that Holomove ARG that Fox indicated had something to do with FRINGE, seems to have nothing to do with it afterall.

Also because, well, as many folks commented here...that DOLLHOUSE viral sort of sucked. And we know that Joss & Co. just would not stand for that, right?

Sunfire & ProjGrrl, yeah that Holomove game ended up being something for Microsoft Visual (which I TOTALLY don't see).

And the Dollhouse viral doesn't seem likely. Which kind of makes sense. Why make a viral game if you want to control the reaction response? I'm starting to think that Dollhouse isn't viral-type.

But, hey, there's always Dr. Horrible & the comics, right?

korkster...I agree but...I am still scratching my head as to why that Fox blog would call out these ARGs if they aren't associated with their shows. Nice way to piss fandom off when you think you're just stirring the pot. o_0

Nope, i'm even doing the Scout sign. Course, you can't see that and so have to take my word for it which kinda negates the point but ... ;)

Nah, hate 'em. 'Dollhouse' is probably the show I know most about prior to seeing it but even then I haven't read casting sides or the script. And if you were extremely bored and cared to look back, you'd probably be able to count on one hand the Whedon-related "spoiler" threads i've posted in.

Ah, Saje, you're probably right. It just seems to me that you post in every thread, multiple times. It's a personal goal of my to out-comment you. :)

But, besides photos and interviews and what-not, I think I'm pretty spoiler-free on Dollhouse. In terms of not reading the script or side notes or watching it at Joss's house.



I'm not sure it was FOX's intention to pull the strings of the fans. They may have been asked by Microsoft Visual to comment on the Holomove ARG in the attempt to rope in some more geeks to play it. If I remember correctly, Dollhouse & Fringe weren't the only ones tagged on that blog.

As far as the Dollhouse one... well, maybe a fan posted it as fun, and the head-hunters of Fox's blog found it and posted it.

Then I could be wrong and it was just an early jump-start onto the ARG route. Maybe we're not playing it yet because the pilot is exactly ironed out yet. We could always ask about the possibility of an ARG for Dollhouse at CC.

Fox probably got asked numerous times if the virals were related to either Fringe or Dollhouse so the blog figured he'd post them. He did state in a subsequent post that he will sometimes post things where he himself doesn't know if they're related to the shows because they're being talked up in the online fandoms.

As far as SDCC, I'm happy with clips. Last year I felt sorry for all those Pushing Daisies fans who saw the pilot at SDCC and then had a wait a gazillion weeks to see the next episode. I like my series episodes to be close enough to each other that I don't forget any bits. ;)
