Life-size Puppet Angel coming out in December. According to Diamond Select Toys, it's the "definitive version". At $325 it be better be.

At first I thought they meant person-sized. And that would be terrifying.

Thing is, given Diamond's absymal record on the previous Puppet Angel releases I have no high hopes for this one. The first one looked like Abe Lincoln.

I'm not really sure how they can justify the price tag. Especially since the picture doesn't really look like the puppet we all know and love. Can't they come out with a true prop replica?

Diamond should have it on display at Comic-Con. To anyone who's going: can you take a look and tell us how good (or bad) it is in person? I think preview night is tonight.

For this price it better also come with removable pants and with some answers to satisfy our curiosity on whether Puppet!Angel was anatomically correct. :) On that picture the face seems very similar to their old Puppet!Angel face, which wasn't that close to the real Puppet!Angel. And proportions seem a bit off - the body looks a bit long and more human-proportioned than puppet-proportioned.
I would buy the old version though - I hesitated too long and it was gone from all comic shops in the area.

Hoooly scheiße... at least as far as the price goes. That's mad.

And I should mention, that I, too, thought they meant person-sized. Which, yes, would be frighteningly frightening. Next thing you know they're just gonna create a puppet costume that we regular sized folk can fit into, and then we'd really be controlling him... now that's an odd thought...

Add me to the list of people who originally thought this meant the puppet was going to be about six feet tall. Now that would be several lines beyond my level of fannishness.

Those shots do look better Willbueche. I can't find any screenshots of the actual puppet to compare to though and my daughter is playing Bioshock and hogging the tv right now (but it's fun heaing Juliet Landau screaming every once in awhile in the game and Armin Shimerman too).

I can't even remember who I got my Angel puppet from ... it's one of the quality ones, I know that. This makes me wonder if mine is the same height as this new one, and what makes the new one $325.00. I think mine was $75.00 or so.
