Whedon: I'm finishing the Fray arc and then a couple of other people are stepping in. I have a plan to do one more arc before the end of the season, although I'm looking at that with a cold eye and thinking maybe I should just oversee that because I'm late with an issue.

Don't do it, Joss :( Write the last arc. It's the season finale!

How much did you love that last bit? Remember when all we had of Joss was the occasional witty post here, and we were longing for some new material as much as he was longing to give it? Not easy, for sure, but what a happy embarrassment of riches for us that he's trying to juggle four projects at once that aren't still in the maybe stage. Today's a great day to be ~~homeless~~ a W-esquer, indeed.

Whedon: No. We have not made back our investment, but we are in the process; we are accruing. We have high hopes.

Well, I got my answer. I hope they make it though. I'd buy it again on iTunes but I already have it. Guess I should HULU some more. I hope it works out. Sountrack! DVD! I'll buy for my family!

I think there's an optimistic way in which Joss' season 8 comment can be interpreted - "one more arc before the end of the season" as in "one more before the end of the season arc, which I will of course be writing". Maybe? That's the hopeful reading which I think I'm going with.

This might be a dumb question, but the only soundtracks I own are from movies that use parts of much longer songs and I get the whole song on the CD. So... will some of the songs on the Dr Horrible Soundtrack be longer?

Longer would be cool. Felicia's solo is barely a minute. But I guess it would be difficult lengthening them with the story already set.
