Jane Espenson Confirmed to Write BSG TV Movie. The L.A. Times has a piece about the upcoming TV Movie, directed by none other than Edward James Olmos.

The article also features quotes from Galactica Sitrep co-editor (and these days frequent Whedonesque poster) Erica Blitz aka ProgGrrl.

I was kind of hoping that this movie would air sometime this fall to hold us over for the 2nd half of Season 4. Oh well, at least that means we still have some new BSG after the finale.
I always love Jane Espenson's writing so I know this will be awesome!
Hey, you go Jane! You and your mad writing skillz. I kept meaning to start watching BSG on DVD from Netflix but stuff kept happening to me in real life and I never got around to it. Now I've got another reason (so I'll understand what's going on).
I finally started to watch BSG a few weekes ago, and I'm just LOVING it. I'm in the middle of season 2 now, and it makes me happy to know that after the finale I'll still have one more thing to watch. And writing by Jane, which is always a plus.
Yay for Jane! I wasn't too keen on the whole flashback movie post final thing, as I wasn't all that impressed with Razor and since BSG is suppose to end where it is going to, I'm quite happy to let it do so (although I'll miss it greatly). I don't like the whole “lets keep doing sequels just for the sake of giving people more” attitude, especially when all that's left is mediocre story lines (Stargate Continuum anyone?). However, knowing that it's going to be about Galen & Sam (two of my favourites) and that it will be brilliantly written and directed makes me feel a lot better about it.
this makes me happy.

can't wait for the final 10 episodes.
This just totally made my day.
"All of our fans are kind of rowdy and invested". ;-)
I'm looking forward to this because they are two of my favorite characters as well.
