How Many Jayne Hats Can be Knitted at a Single Con? The Austin Browncoats are gonna find out!

This is a nifty idea I wish I had thought of. Apparently, you pledge a dollar amount per however many hats get made. The final total determines how much you owe.

Whoo-hoo! I never would have thought of that idea.
Anyone placing bets? You know, like guessing how may jelly beans are in a jar? ;)

ETA, I like that they money is going to charity, but it doesn't say which charity. And what happens with the hats afterwards? Just curious.

P.S. I guess a bakers dozen will be done.
Hey Everyone,

We're selling the hats afterwards. We're supporting Equality Now and Kids Need To Read with the proceeds.

Thanks for supporting us and I hope to see many of you at Dragon*Con.
This is so cool.

In a really geeky way :)
What a great idea! You guys are amazing!
Ow! Ow! Damn, these needle things are tricky!
Maybe all the Jayne hats will make the cover of Crocheting Monthly or maybe Knitting Monthly. I bet that Website that wanted to interview Joss will post a pic.
"Best be careful," Mad. "I hear these things are sharp."
Actually, Kim from Twittered this yesterday, Anonymous1, which is how I found out about it! I pledged, too.
Ow!! Duh, you think!? You don't need these tools to make a point. The whole point of Jayne's hat was within himself. Seeing with his mind of what he was becoming.

Ow! Okay, that's it, I'm officially off this yarn detail. Better chores to see.
Claudia knit 12 hats at Dragon*Con!

We were able to donate $1000 to Kids Need To Read!
