(SPOILER) Joss Whedon on why you should watch Angel season 5. "I'm working on great. Our goal is great. We'll settle for good" (Quicktime req).

I have to say this is the most I have ever been excited for a new season of Angel.

I agree, Simon. The Wolfram & Hart structure really gives them something to play with that's closer to the allegorical structure of Buffy than they've ever had before. I think it should be a great season, especially with mucho Angel/Spike tension.

Anybody know of a transcript of this for those of us with sound issues?
I'm so with you, Simon & Unitas. With Joss' focus on the one show, the whole Angel/Spike dynamic, and new prospect of W&H run by the Angel team. . . I am counting the days until Oct. 8th!
I have sound issues as well.
Here's what I heard:

J: The number one reason people should watch Angel in the 5th season? The first four seasons, I would say...because it's gonna be great. I mean, I'm working on great. Our goal is great. We'll settle for good.

Q: You're changing it up a little bit?

J: We are changing it up a litle bit. You know, I would say the other reason to watch it is that last season it was very much internal, very much one story over 22 hours, and this season it's gonna be a lot easier for people who have never seen it to watch it. It'll be be, you know, like almost a whole new show in a way-- still the same sensibility, a lot of the same cast, some new people, but very much easier for people who've never seen the show to jump in.

Q: And Spike?

J: And, oh yes, there's a little thing we like to call Spike.
