Serenity Blu-ray to be released in the UK. The BBFC site lists some of the extras that will be included on the disc (search for Serenity to see the list).

In case the search feature doesn't work, the extras so far:

SERENITY - BONUS: JOSS WHEDON Q & A SESSION [Additional material] ( Video 26/09/2008 ) Runtime: 59m 58s

SERENITY BLU-RAY - ALLIANCE DATABASE - INTRO_LOOPS_TRANSITIONS [Additional material] ( Video 18/09/2008 ) Runtime: 10m 38s

SERENITY - BONUS: THE GREEN CLAN [Additional material] ( Video 15/09/2008 ) Runtime: 3m 4s

What the hell is "ALLIANCE DATABASE - INTRO_LOOPS_TRANSITIONS"? Or is that just a way to make the DVD menu designs sound like a bonus feature?
So does that mean the BBFC has to certify the menu ? Banoonoos.

Presumably that's the Sydney Q&A they're talking about, is that on the US version ? Can't recall (or find the list of extras after a quick Google).
Thanks Simon.

Someone posted about this on imdb.com and I couldn't find it on the website.

Long DVD menu seeing as it clocks in at around 10 mins.

Thanks Simon.

Not a problem.
The menus are different at each level/selection of the DVD. There very well could be 10 minutes total. It would explain why it's called "INTRO_LOOPS_TRANSITIONS".

Looking forward to it, followed hopefully by a Firefly Blu-ray for UK after that (well I can hope for a quick release)
Blu Rays are region free right? So US people can order it from say amazon UK and have it play it their blu ray players?

SOME Blu-rays are region-free, it's up to the studio. Here's a proper list of all released Blu-rays and their region status: http://bluray.liesinc.net/
Fox tend to region code their Blu-ray stuff but according to that list (and "stuff i've heard" ;) Universal usually don't.

Which means 'Firefly' will probably be region coded but 'Serenity' may very well be region free.
There is an excellent site for finding out which Blu-ray releases are region-free (once info or disc is released) - Blu-ray List

Firefly was confirmed as being locked sometime a go
Serenity when it was released on HD-DVD was region free (as were a lot of HD-DVD titles). Universal will most likely remain region free - after all it does promote sales :-)
