Joss' House for Sale, Amy Acker Copyrighted Magazine Scans. Please take a moment before posting to peruse the site rules and the Deleted Posts blog.

Among other things you will find Joss' house listing (six times) and links to scans from copyrighted magazines (4 so far of the Amy Acker/Claire Saunders First Look), neither of which are acceptable front page material here at Whedonesque.

(was a reply to willbueche's deleted comment) True, but if you look at some of the reasons given on the deleted posts page, it's pointed out that you could theoretically figure out Joss's house's address from the information given... you can't stalk anybody from the news that they got married/had a baby/had a birthday...

I have email addresses and home addresses for some people whose addresses are not public knowledge and would never dream of posting them here. While the article in question doesn't give you Joss' address, it gives you all of the information that you need to find it in under 2 minutes if you know anything about the web. For any deletes not covered by a rule that is expressed in the rules section, the deleted blog will explain why after which it falls under "The admins' word is law.", although as you say, will, the house link has very little to do with his work.

After the first deletion, if you've done your proper pre-post checklist, you have no (at least not a good one) excuse for posting something that's been trashed already.

Derf - If io9's picture appears to be a legitimately obtained picture, fine, if its the magazine scan, then no.

Since his wife is an architect, and I'm an architect... I'd like to see it just to see what she might have done with the place. It also would be cool to see the sound studio and wonder what might have been created there. (After B3 we got to see photos of Greg Edmonson's home studio that were posted.)

But of course, I understand why that kind of thread is not appropriate when stalkerazzi are about in the world...

I'm glad you said it, Succatash, and not me.... I really agree that things like homes for sales are off limits on a site like this, which is viewed by too many people. But of course the really annoying thing is that the press seems to think it is a story to begin with (of course if I had enough money I would totally want the house).

Also: I really like the 'why was my post deleted' blog. Although it's easier liking it if you're one of those 'take, take, take' and (almost) never give whedonesquers who just reply to everybody else's posts, like me ;).

Apart from the amusement factor, though, it's a really good addition to the site. I know I remember threads I'd posted on dissapearing in time away from the black, and it'd always be a disconcerting few moment before one realised 'ah, it's probably deleted'. Knowing for sure it was and why fills a gaping hole in our needy lives ;).

That's the scanned image from the article. It actually says so in the linked article, by the way. I doubt io9 paid to use it, as it mentions a fansite as its source.

Derf - that is a scan from the magazine, yes. The band along the bottom of the image that io9 didn't clip is the address of the Amy Acker site that scanned it.
