Liza Lapira has recurring role on Dollhouse. She is also starring in Dexter, NCIS, and the new Fast and Furious movie. She is new to me, but it seems like she will be known to everyone within a year.

The Dollhouse stuff is toward the end of the interview.

I've enjoyed seeing her on NCIS. Her Dexter role, not so much. She also had a part in the hilarious Channel 101 series "Dr. Miracles"
"It's just Whedonesque."
"...it's Joss's world, we just live in it."
Yes. Yes, it is.

With statements like the above, I kinda think I love this woman, and we've barely met!
Yuki! She was also in *Cloverfield*, it seems.
Neat. Sweet. Petite.

I remember watching her on Huff & quite liking her. Oooh, and now I want to watch "Huff" again...

"Waiting for Dollhouse" is starting to feel all Godot-y. But 'twill come, at last.

*wanders off again.*
Didn't Godot not show up, in the end...? ;)
Her character in Dexter has come across as being pretty much unlikable so far but that only leads me to believe that she is going to end up being the one who was right about Quinn all along. Or the one who happens to be the skinner. Or both. With Dexter you just never know. ;)

Very attractive lady. Be nice to see her as a recurring character in Dollhouse. Especially if she continues into season two. And three. And so on.
She is fantastic on NCIS, and her relationship with Jimmy Palmer made for some of the most hilarious aspects of that show. I haven't watched her in Dexter, but I did see her in "21" and she was great, even if the movie didn't give her much to do.

I like that it's Joss' world and we just live in it.
Not exactly related to this post, but sort of...

Potential Dollhouse actress, Chrissy Seaver Ashley Johnson, was a guest star on The Mentalist last night. Worth checking out, both the show in general, and her appearance.
I'm confused. What does "potential Dollhouse actress" mean. I must have missed news somewhere.
Per Joss:
To get a sense of how completely turned around I was during this process, you should know there was a scene with Eliza and the astonishing Ashley Johnson that I wrote and shot completely differently three different times, with different characters in different places (actually I wrote it closer to eight times), and none of it will ever see air. Which is as it should be (though I'm determined to get Ms. Johnson back in the future).

Ashley Johnson played the victim's daughter on The Mentalist and she was heartbreaking - I've seen her in a number of things before this, but she really kicked some acting ass in this.

The Mentalist is one of the few shows I watch with any regularity - somehow they've managed to take an old TV show formula and make it feel both classic and fresh - and the characters are revealed as the season goes on, which makes it more interesting. And the acting is always ace.

(Yes, Knuckleball, it's a fact! - Godot famously did not show up...)
Shall we go?

Yes, let's go.

They do not move.
Yeah they did, that guy on the left blinked, I totally saw it. Stick that in yer existentialist angst Beckett !

Plus, you fancy Simon Baker, c'mon admit it QG, show us your metaphorical hidden telly, join us down in the leather trousers/boot enamoured end of the pool ;-).

(I agree BTW, pretty good show. My only issue is it feels like they've been asked to lighten it a bit, a few times they've had chances to do something a bit darker or edgier they've shied away. Like . I may just be a bit twisted though ;)
Oh, no doubt whatsoever - Patrick Jane is my kinda guy. Handsome, smart, tortured and hot. I usually don't mention the hotness factor, just because so many other people will reliably overhit that note, imo, and also because hotness is truly so far down on the scale of what makes me watch something.

Not because hotness doesn't matter to me - but because there's no dearth of hot on TV at all - there's often nothing but hot. What this show has, and what I'm looking for is much rarer.
Dammit, you showed us your telly and it turned out to be continuously tuned to the Ibsen channel ! But hot Ibsen !

True 'nall, hot is the default in Hollywood, 9 out of 10 people have one in a million good looks there so they'd better bring some game besides. Game and leather boots ? Crocheted from purest win.
Saje: "Dammit, you showed us your telly and it turned out to be continuously tuned to the Ibsen channel ! But hot Ibsen !"

Well, I kept watching New Amsterdam, even after it became clear that they weren't hitting the mark, primarily because Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is completely my idea of something - I think I might have posted here that he was like the beautiful mythological offspring of Nathan and Denis Leary.

And I usedta watch The Man From U.N.C.L.E. because of David McCallum, Jr. There's probably more, but they're not coming to me at the moment.

Yeah, I thought/hoped The Mentalist was going to let itself go a little darker, but I guess it's playing a little safer - it has got a little twist of something dark, though, but just a splash...
Saje, maybe they're waiting to draw us in before hitting us in the stomach with a baseball bat. Huh ... That sounds familar.
Fingers crossed. I just hope the showrunner didn't get a 'Firefly' style note to "make him funner".

Jeez, you are just so base ! Still not sure why I kept watching. I really liked the title sequence, maybe that was it (OK, it had some nice ideas, just didn't implement them that well).

And welcome to the shallow end BTW ;). Just stay away from that one guy - the water by him wasn't always purple if you get my meanin'.

And I usedta watch The Avengers because of Diana Rigg. (Oops, some gay just leaked out.)
