Did we already know about the visual commentary from Joss, or is that new information? Well, it's new to me anyway and I think it sounds cool! I'm assuming it'll be like the recently released Casino Royale Blu-Ray commentary.
A: East Asia (except Mainland China and Mongolia), Southeast Asia, North America, South America and their dependencies.
B: Africa, Southwest Asia, Europe (except Russia), Oceania and their dependencies.
C: Central Asia, East Asia (Mainland China and Mongolia only), South Asia, central Eurasia and their dependencies.
Whether or not a Blu-ray release is region-free is up to the studio. The site http://bluray.liesinc.net/ will give you all the information you need on the region status of all Blu-rays. While the Serenity Blu-ray technically has not been announced as region-free, it definetly will be, since Universal NEVER region-locks their Blu-ray releases. Funnily enough, while Fox virtually always locks theirs, the Firefly Blu-ray will work on region A&B machines (although not Region C), so I'll be importing that too.
That's great, thanks for the clarification. The site also told me that the US Firefly release will be able to be used in region A & B but not C players - that's good enough for me!
