A brand new Dollhouse pic over at EW.com. It's of our Eliza and there's a quote from Joss to boot.

The pic also appears in this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly (out tomorrow).

So glad to see so many posts about Dollhouse!

Eliza and knives reunited at last. Can't wait to see that in HQ.
Except for the background, is anyone else getting a "Star Wars" vibe from that picture? Or am I crazy?

It's great to see publicity for the show is starting to pick up.
Yow-wow! Or, in 1939, Hubba-hubba! Or in Brit, Phwoar! Even with those thin legs!

And " a proverbial human chameleon"? Umm, that's Wrong Adjective Disease again, methinks
It may be my imagination, EvilElecBlanket, but to me it looks like someone's fantasy was hiring Jennifer Garner's character in Alias. Well, if only she were wearing a much less practical frock.
Am I crazy that it kind of looks to me like she's in the Sunnydale High library holding a stake?
That's where my mind went, hacksaway,
Star Wars meet Buffy? To me, it looks like she's deciding between the knife & the gun. Knives are more fun. :)
Three cheers for scary-killer-Eliza! Also, kudos to whomever wrote the blurb for getting the gender and number of "alumna" correct . . . gives me hope for the world. ;-)
Yeah, hot chick w/ weapons in white and black, definitely a Star Wars vibe here
Too many guns.
Are you saying Neo lied ?

Nice picture though I found it bizarrely hard to parse until I figured out that's a sort of mini jacket thing she's got on. Can't explain it but before that the clothes just didn't make sense - it was like a fashion necker cube. Weird.

Also, tiniest of things but can we have a 'new' in the title please ? 'A Brand Dollhouse ...' is like having one switch on and one off on a power socket. It's just wrong on a fundamentally disturbing level. Though, admittedly, that may just be me.
Weird. My brain apparently has been filling in the "new" on its own.
Well i'm glad it's not mine that's been removing it ;).
Weird...I filled in the "new" with my brain too.

I enjoyed the pic. Its definitely reinforcing the recent info that says its more of an action show now, which i suppose I'm alright with. Can't wait til Feb 13.

No.

Oh alright.
Cheers Simon. Now I can sleep ;).

(it was just sitting there, all wrong and evil. If missing words could kick puppies ... well, 'nuff said)

Nope! I also thought that. Those double doors with the circular windows look just like the ones that led to the library...albeit painted a different color.
Well, Saje, there's nothing wrong with kicking puppies. My brother & I used to laugh at making Punting Puppies an Olympic sport. *chuckles*

Anyone? No? Hm.

Well, it's better than swinging kittens by their tails.
I thought "library," too. But never have I thought of ED as an Ava Gardner type. Since Joss wants to showcase that aspect of her talent, perhaps I'll see it in Dollhouse. But that comparison really threw me.
Korkster! You crack me up in a wrong yet deliciously morbidly satisfying way. First, it was the babies in the microwaves and now kittens and puppies. Personally, I prefer rolling in them myself.
Why my many thanks, RollingInKittens. :) I had almost forgot about the microwave thing. *smiles at the reminder*

Just the other day someone was complaining about how large a baby was, and I was thinking it could serve as a nice substitute for a Thanksgiving turkey. The baby's really cute, though. So I won't pursue it (or tell the mom about my morbid thought).

And even if the outfit is Star Wars meets Alias in a Buffy fashion, I WANT THAT OUTFIT. Not sure where I'd wear it to, though. Right now the outfit could only fit on my arm... maybe next Halloween I could run around with it as an Eliza sock puppet.

Has anyone noticed that after the mumbles & grumbles of there not being a lot of press for Dollhouse in the positive fashion, all of these articles are coming out of the woodwork? I wonder which Fox exec we have chained & gagged in the basement being held for ransom that's made this shift in the media. Any theories?
It's more likely that it's temporally inevitable that the moaning about the lack of press would eventually run into the start of press.

(In other words, correlation is not causation.)

Korkster, maybe the fox exec we've got chained up is the one who cancelled Firefly, a girl can only dream. (Ok, that would be wrong because chaining anyone up in the basement is bad etiquette. Now, babies in microwaves, are another thing!) ; )

...And also, Eliza Sock Puppet and Quotergal's Sockubus should seriously team up and do a show together! I'll pay good coinage to see that!
My first thought was definitely "Faith, in the library, with a stake."

Maybe Eliza blackmailed Rupert Murdoch with that pic of him leering at her at the CNN Heroes Event :P (Yes, that was Murdoch in the pic)
Well, we know that Joss is okay with having Sean Maher chained in the basement.
If Joss is ok with it, then I'm ok with it. *smiles at the reminder* ;). Korkster, love reading your posts, makes me laugh lots! (like Joss' posts). Keep them up!

Ohgodsohgodsohgods.

*buries red face in hands.*

You... you...you watched that?

Oh, uck-fay, just kill me now.

*runs away to die alone in the woods - like an old elephant1.*

QuoterGal! Watched it and loved it! Hope it makes it into the DVD. If not, you can be happy in the knowledge that you made people, if not least me, laugh and melt at the imagination, love and effort. You should have your own web series, series-ously! :)
