Paley Center for Media's Perspectives on Media: Doctor Horrible. The Paley Center takes a look at Dr. Horrible and announces their Dr. Horrible Sing Along.

Quoted from the soon to be issued PR:

There are plenty of Dr. Horrible fans at the Paley Center for Media and we’re happy to announce a special, one-time-only Sing-Along screening of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog on Friday, December 19, 7:30 pm at our New York location.

Join us to experience Dr. Horrible on a big screen, sing along and participate in some interactive antics.

Tickets are free for Paley Center members and $10 (regular Paley Center admission) for the General Public. Tickets can be reserved or purchased by going to http://www.paleycenter.org/event-dr-horrible-sing-along.

Paley Center members can reserve up to four tickets, starting Tuesday, Dec. 9 at noon and the general public can buy them after Friday, Dec. 12 at noon. Membership has plenty of great benefits, including unlimited free admission to our New York and L.A. locations, members-only events, and advance sales and discounts on tickets to all of our programs.

Also – check out our brand new Perspectives on Media feature, http://www.paleycenter.org/dr-horrible, featuring television antecedents for Dr. Horrible from the Paley Center’s Collection, and join our conversation about all things Dr. Horrible.

Cheers to Kate and the rest of the Whedon-loving folk at the Paley Center.

I knew we should have copyrighted "Whedonesque". I like the photo montage.
I can go to this!!
Perhaps an East Coast Whedonesque meetup is on the cards? I bet that I know a place we could discuss it...
Does anyone have a problem using the links at the bottom of the blurb i.e. "Dr. Horrible" pages: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 ? The links only seem to work for me on the right hand side of the page.
I couldn't get them to work in Firefox or Internet Explorer and I sent a note to Kate @ Paley saying so.
Cool. Have those pics been released before cause I adore the ELE one.
Huh. Doesn't the fact that WHEDONesque is a private website make it copyrighted in a way or a proprietary term?

And by the way Paley Center, people in California can sing too. Some of us quite well.
Got my tickets.
Oh I wish I was on the East Coast now (although I'm frequently glad I'm on the West coast!). And I'm thrilled that the Paley Center is promoting 'Doctor Horrible' in this way, it is all good.
And by the way Paley Center, people in California can sing too. Some of us quite well.

That's an unsubstantiated rumor, unlike the fact (FACT, I tell you...) that people on the East Coast would've liked to see the Buffy Reunion panel. The Evil Genius behind this event just happens to be working out of the NYC office, so its probably just that.

Worked well in Firefox/Linux.

People in Portland, too.

(Hey, I have to try. I haven't moved to California yet.)
Ok, wait. In that photo of the ELE, who is that white-masked, black-hooded person in the background?

Up front there's Fake Thomas Jefferson, Professor Normal, Fury Leika, Snake Bite, Dead Bowie, and Tie-Die. Other than Bad Horse and Dr. Horrible, that's it.

So who is that?

Some friend of V ?
Worked well in Firefox/Linux.

That's actually because they fixed it across the board :).
That would be hilarious if it were a false! V. Maybe The One True b!x could gang up with Fake Thomas Jefferson & false! V and play 3-man poker. :)

Wish I were in NY. Can't they make it closer to Christmas??? Can't leave work 'til vacation kicks in!

*pouts*

Awesome, NYPinTA. I hate wish you a great time!
Ironically, for me it might be too close to Christmas, as events draw me away from the city. Maaaybe I'll make it (or maybe it'll sell out before I make up my mind).

They do have some lovely stills on those pages. Several are definitely new to me.
Seriously, ??!!??!!

(Yeah, the behind the scenes photos were molto cooool.)
QuoterGal, those pix make me wish I were still at HP so I could print out a poster of those pix in a Dr. Horrible-style fashion. Now, no free prints (but cheap beverages. ;)

And really, WHO IS THAT???

My bet: false! V (stolen from various sources)
So, that mysterious masked figure looks remarkably like how Nikki Finke depicts the AMPTP.

Damn. So close, yet so very far away.
bix, isn't that a screenshot from V for Vendetta?

Hope it's explained in the DVD extras.

Sunfire, so far away from what? Being right? Ha!
Too far from where I live to take the train there and back on the same day.
Erm. The masks in V for Vendetta were not blank masks. They were Guy Fawkes masks.
B!x is right (as always), the V for Vendetta mask was smiling and be-mustachioed, not all blank and colorless as the AMPTP.
That explains why I was so confused... I didn't realize that you folks meant V from V for Vendetta upthread. Yes, the V/Guy Fawkes/Anonymous masks are anything but blank :).
Those masks look awfully familiar. Surely the brain trust here can figure out what they're from. I'm stumped.
If they had the gold embellishment they would be Eyes Wide Shut masks.
Yeah, but I'd seen them before when I saw that. I'm thinking "70s" for some reason.
I have been trying to check for tickets since noon when they were supposed to go on sale, but nothing is coming up for non-members.
Update: I got two tickets by calling the Paley Center. If anyone is interested in a meet-up go to the Whedonesque.org thread that Z set-up.
