Review of Serenity Blu-ray on High-Def Digest. The actual film review from the old HD-DVD version review is re-used, but pretty much everything else is new.

4-star video, 4.5-star audio, and cool features including the CE Joss&Cast commentary in recorded PiP form!

According to that review, the Joss & Cast commentary is missing?
No, it's under HD Bonus Content, because now it's "Picture-in-Picture Commentary".
It also looks like they did their research:

"And if it wasn't for one Universal exec who was a fan of the show, 'Serenity' never would have happened."
Is it insane to want to buy this before actually having a blu-ray player? Is my impulse crazy? Those extra features sound great. Damn. When will blu-ray players become remotely affordable?

Revised to add: Well, I guess blu-ray players have come way down in price of late. I had been thinking that they were around $500. Still, I won't buy one until good ones get to between $100-$150.

When this hits the stores, that will make a grand total of two things I can watch on my Playstation 3. Which I bought solely for the Firefly Blu-ray set.

Dude, I cannot stress how much you need to get more Blu-rays. To start with, I reccommend Blade Runner: The Final Cut and The Dark Knight. Also, if you like CGI animated films, the digital-to-digital transfers on those make them look even more astounding in 1080p.
phlebotinin,

I'm buying Serenity Blu-Ray and don't have Blu-Ray player yet either. I've got Firefly Blu-Ray. Bought it the Tuesday it came out.
