Every time I watch this I'm weirded out when Buffy's mother isn't played by Kristine Sutherland.

Nah, but the original Joyce was played be the foofy-haired Debbie (Candy Clark) from American Graffiti, which makes it all better. And Charles Martin Smith, who played Toad in American Graffiti (Toad and Debbie hook up in the film), was the director of our very own Welcome to the Hellmouth.

The original film always makes me think of the cast in those films, Blade Runner and Animal House. "Now was Milton trying to tell us that being bad was more fun than being good?" LMAO.

Kristy Swanson was also Duckie's Duckette at the end of Pretty In Pink! And of course she was in Ferris Bueller and Buffy.

I like the original movie. So sue me.

And I still am hoping for Pike to return someday for a visit. As far as I'm concerned, if Angel and Spike are out of the question, I'll settle for Pike.
