Blu-Ray Review: Cult of "Serenity" will grow with great release. From December 30th, a review of the Serenity Blu-Ray Release. I don't recall having seen it here. They like it :).

That's a very nice review. It's exactly the hope most fans expressed after Serenity failed to be the huge hit we'd all secretely hoped for: that it'd be a slow-burning, Donnie Darko-like indy hit. Hopefully that's what things will look like a few more years down the road. And it's certainly what this article's implying right now.

As for the rest: how many of these special features are actually new for Blu-ray? I haven't really read up on other release mentions here, seeing as I don't have a Blu-ray player anyway :).
I approve of the cover. :)
I'm really wondering what that little mistake on Kaylee's face in the first promo shot means. If it's on the Blu-Ray-disc, not so good. Also, bad choice for representative pic, if the review does nothing nothing but rave about how the "1080P widescreen presentation is a beauty".

If it's just a regular promo pic... well, still not good. :)
Yeah it's a bit spot the Borg isn't it? I think it's just a dodgy pic.
Where Kayleigh's concerned, resistance really is futile - the cute will assimilate you.

So it'll be Mal's sister in the sequel ? ;)

Extras wise, IIRC there're two new commentaries plus a reunion round-table with Joss, Nathan and Ron, think that's about it (though depending on which editions you have, there're probably extras that will be new to the individual viewer).
I think so, Saje ;). I'm actually fairly affraid that S. Darko will be total crap, by the way

Also: thanks for the extra's update. I'd certainly like to see those, but I'm still not shelling out for a Blu-Ray player (I still maintain we don't need next generation DVDs... the original format hasn't even been around that long, when compared to the time period that VHS was around).
I haven't gotten around to watching my copy yet... can't wait...
... except that appearantly, you can ;)
Watching it right now...great visuals and great audio...
