Heather Havrilesky has seen Dollhouse and wants more. She describes the first episode as a little bit dorky, but assures us that after the first episode, we'll want to see "more, more, more, more".

"It's not entirely clear what goes down at the Dollhouse or who runs it or how they got started or whether they're good or evil, and that, my dear, is the custard filling in this big, sugary doughnut of a drama".

Custard filled is always my favorite. But is the episode she watched the FOX-flavored redux or the original Joss first episode? Hmmmm, my mind needs a donut. Love that line.

madmolly, I would guess this is the Fox redux to-be-aired first episode since screeners went out to just about everybody except me and b!X over the last couple of weeks.

I like the custard-filled with chocolate icing best. She didn't mention if this episode has chocolate icing as well. But at least it's not a cold-blooded jelly doughnut.

Oh, I like Heather Havrilesky. And while I don't so much like the generalized trashing of fox execs, or the assumption that they're all soulless fools, I have to say, this (re. Lie to Me) made me laugh out loud, perhaps mainly from sheer surprise:

Roth is sort of beady-eyed and unlikable -- you know, how you'd imagine a Fox executive might look, if you were barreling toward him in your car at night.

Oh an bobw1o, my Dad's job requires him to take off two weeks in a row, as opposed to just one. It has to do with stealing money, or something.
