Director Angela Robinson says Buffy season 8 has inspired her. When afterellen.com asked her if she'd do a sequel to her movie D.E.B.S., she said "I've been so inspired by the Buffy Season 8 comic books, I'm looking into doing the sequel as a comic."

Who would actually read it though? No one, that's who!
Mean.

Seems the person who asked would actually read it. Never saw D.E.B.S. myself, so can't say either way.
Angela Robinson is pretty awesome actually. and so was DEBS

i'd totally read it. DEBS was probably the best gay-teen movie i've seen mostly because its really silly and lighthearted--but also just really well done. I always thought of the doofy boyfriend as being just like Riley.

I'm excited Robinson's a buffy fan.
D.E.B.S. also has a minor Whedonverse link, as Jenny Mollen (Nina from Angel) is in it for approximately 4 seconds.

Yeah that is a litt bit mean. And a further connection, D.E.B.S. (the short film) has Clare Kramer in it as well.
The reason I said what I said was because the movie was not a success ($97,446 in the box office) and it wasn't exactly well received. Who is really gonna wanna read a comic book sequel to a movie that they probably haven't seen (or heard of).
What I said wasn't suppose to be taken literally. It was more of joke. I wasn't really trying to be mean.
Instead of continuing the movie she should reboot it as a comic book series. Kind of like what Joss did with the Buffy movie. He threw out the badly received movie and started it over as a super amazing television series.
D.E.B.S. is fantastic, but I'm not sure it would work without the inherent interest of seeing the actors, or without the soundtrack, both of which were perfect.

I didn't see the short, but I notice from the Wikipedia article that it stars Alex Breckenridge, who played Dawn's friend Kit in "Lessons", for yet another minor Whedon connection.
I want to know if Angela Robinson has any plans/money to finish Girltrash! After our tantalising glimpse of Amber Benson there were no more episodes.
Heh, I think D.E.B.S is hilarious and much fun, I might read a comic about it. Heh. I'd give it a shot anyways. XD

I always wanted to see the short, but heh, the movie is very amusing. lol.

It wasn't a mainstream hit, no. But it got a lot of niche attention and she's well-known in gay media, so it might work as a comic series. The only way she can find out is to give it a shot.
I have to agree with Nathan Rabin:

[D.E.B.S. is] a film that answers the question, "How can a movie about teenage lesbian secret agents in Catholic-schoolgirl outfits be no fucking fun at all?"

To remove all doubt concerning my level of Fag-Haggotry; SQWEEEE!! I would prolly read D.E.B.S. as a comic, unsuccessfully pimp it to "The Moms" and little sister.
Liked the short, and the flick. Them, not so much. :\
I love D.E.B.S.

I would be very much interested in a sequel, but only if it is another movie or tv show. The music was a big part of the appeal and I don't read comics anyway.
