I've been bitching for years that Joss needs to be on the late night circuit. Joss would own Dave Letterman or Conan. (However, I think Conan would like it.)

btw--was in Lake Tahoe this past week for a much needed vacation. One day I wore my Mutant Enemy (grrr arrrg) t-shirt and got 4 different comments about how cool it was...one girl who looked 20, two older women in their 50's and one thirtysomething guy.

So close, yet so far! Alan Tudyk will be at the FarpointCon in Baltimore MD Feb 13th-15th... as will I, and numerous other BCs. I also understand that Nathan Fillion will be in or around NYC at about the same point on the Calendar.

-I hope Joss and/or Nathan reads this, and thinks to visit Alan.

Definitely sounds like talk show visits for both Joss and Nathan. Maybe the people who can't make it to Apple can make it to any talk show tapings being held. And hopefully they'll stop by Craig before they leave LA, Nathan and Craig get along very well. :)

Ohh why does he have to be in NY when I am away at college? If I was home, I'd be able to go into the city for the day. :/ Still, nothing is worse than when I missed him at Wesleyan (20 min away from me) because I didn't hear about it until the day after.

Oh man... This is only 5 days before the James Marsters event in NJ. I wish I could skip school and work that whole week to go see Joss. I think seeing both Joss and James (with the possibility of Nathan and Alan) the same week would make my young life complete. Oh well. I'll still have a blast seeing James.

I think Conan will wrap up his run in New York that week. Otherwise, having Nathan or Joss on the show would be perfect. If we're lucky, maybe Channels 5 or 11 could have them on their morning shows. If Nathan could cook, he'd be on Rachael Ray.

Ok... I just read the info on the front page of the linked site and it says "and will be available on the iTunes Store." there's nothing to indicate it's an in-store event so much as a video interview...? Does anyone have anything to indicate that I'm wrong and everyone else's assumptions are correct? Can you point me to it please so I can add the details to my calendar. Ta.

It says ""Dollhouse" premieres Friday, February 13 at 9:00 p.m. on FOX, and will be available on the iTunes Store." (my emphasis). Joss, however, premiered over 40 years ago ;).

ETA: It also says "Meet the creator" and "Join writer/producer/director" both of which suggest the really real world to me (I know virtual's the new black but it's hard to meet and/or join people except in the world IMO ;).

ETA: Just done some investigation. It wasn't The Culture Show, it was The Last Word on More4. And it was Brian Sewell and Stanley Johnson.

We're going to attend this (and provide coverage, of course, for those not in the area) but it's definitely scary. That Apple store is packed on any random day. Can't imagine what it'll be like with Whedon there!

It's true, though....we rarely get the love over here. New York isn't even depicted in the Whedonverse except for a rat infested alley or 2....

We have rats, here, too. Those are undoubtedly really LA rats, on the shows, but authentic in their ratness. We don't have much in the way of alleys. It's a different building style. I don't even know how they found that many alleys for Angel. I'm glad that y'all are getting some love.

Well, I could enjoy myself a little longer without the Right Coast love. It's as if the "big" plan is to undermine my persuasions to get my NY friends out here to sunny CA. Comic Con was a big push for that. Now what do I tell them? That LA rats are as authentic as NY rats, but it's the non-alleys that are a "must see"?

(Seriousfully, I love NYC. Used to live there. But I've been not-spoiled since I moved and "owning" Joss was a rare highlight. Come on. You guys have Broadway, subways, Chinese food that tastes good, Dunkin' Donuts, snow days, Tribeca Film Festival.... just leave this one, k?)

Won't change anything. Just missing the spontaneous trips.

I've just now watched the ep of Angel S1 where they also clearly show a subway in LA. They even have breaks and stations and all.

I occasionally ride the Red Line subway to our offices in downtown L.A. - a downtown which is filled with alleys a'plenty. We for sure are not - for the moment, anyway - subway'd anything like NYC or Boston or San Francisco - but we are hoping to head that way - once more...

In fact, the area where we work - the fashion district - is quite often shot as N.Y., and some of the many (pardon me) "piss alleys" - one of which Tim Minear talks about in an Angel commentary - are part of the obstacle course I walk from the subway or parking lot on my way to the office.
