Whedonverse comic book chart positions for December. Buffy #20 came in at no. 17 shifting an estimated 71,896 copies while Angel: After The Fall #15 took 64th place shifting an estimated 37,649 copies.

These are estimates of the sales by Diamond U.S. to comic specialty stores
Most of the titles on this chart are also distributed to Europe by Diamond UK, which can account for significant sales for the publisher, ranging from 3-20% of the U.S. numbers. Sales by Diamond UK are not included in the numbers above.

That's a bit of a steep drop from Issue 19, isn't it, with its #8 rank and its 74,202 copies? But I guess what counts is that Season 8 still going strong.
Last month's ranking for Buffy was a bit of a misnomer as there were several high profile titles that didn't ship that month. As for the drop in orders, sign of the times. People are cutting back on their orders and as a series goes on, sales usually drop. Same for After The Fall. Though I did hope for a Loeb bounce for #20. Could Dark Horse marketed it more as a Loeb issue?
"Loeb bounce"? Really? My impression has been that his reputation has taken such a hit in the last couple of years, with almost everything he's done being widely panned, that his name might actually be as likely to chase off readers as attract them. But maybe the negative feel about him isn't as prevalent as I thought?
