Vote to name the International Space Station node 3.
After
Serenity made it to space last year, NASA want to know what to name part of the space station, and Serenity is on the list.

Would like to point out that in the rules, it states that NASA is not obligated to use the name voters choose.

Yes, but that's mainly to avoid having to name it "George" if that should happen to win. If Serenity, which is on THEIR list, should happen to win, it's unlikely that they'd simply choose something else.

I'd think it would be unlikely, too.

Harmony, huh? I remember Lorne calling her "Cacophony."

Did Nishka's space station have a name? I can't remember. Actually, I want to suggest Miranda now.

I think that alone bodes well for "Serenity." Cool. :-)

/Just kidding, voted for Serenity.
I remember back in the day all the ST fans demanded the first Shuttle be named Enterprise, so NASA did. Of course, that one was a test airframe that never actually went into space...

ETC: Place. The ISS has got to be the scariest place in near-earth orbit. I'm not afraid of the ISS, but I'd be terrified to go there.

Actually, the Enterprise airframe was originally designated (and numbered) as a flight system. Challenger was a test airframe. Due to design changes based on construction of Columbia, NASA decided it was cheaper to refit a test airframe than to refit Enterprise.
After the loss of Challenger, NASA again considered flying Enterprise, but eventually decided to build a new orbiter (Endeavour) from available parts.
So Enterprise missed two chances to fly.

One of these days I suggest Millennium Falcon. Death Star might not be sending the right message, but it would be incredibly funny.
Hey, they got Enterprise. Now the Warsies need to strike back at the Trekkies.

I'm pretty sure NASA's fixing the percentages just cos they didn't think of the time shit implosion potential and are now running scared.
I'm looking forward to the node we can name TARDIS.
Then time would shit. It's terrified of that little blue box. Fact.
