NPR talks about Remote Free TV. Joss briefly comments around the 1:20 mark.

Well, bummer. I know the story might be harder to write, but I've really enjoyed my extra minutes of Dollhouse. Not that I actually noticed them, but I really enjoy how the show is pieced together. Taking that away from me would be like a missing minor appendage... like a toe or something.

Hoping for the best.
Now that I think about it, the show probably wouldn't drag as much if it had longer commercials.
I really miss being able to pee between act breaks. And yeah, there are some parts where I wish they would cut away the minutes. More doesn't always mean better. We have almost every hour long episode of The Office as proof.
