(SPOILER) June comics solicits reveal Georges Jeanty to draw Manhunter back-up in Batman: Streets of Gotham. IGN has advance solicits, which contain some spoilers for DC Comics released that month, especially the Bat-titles.

The solicit:

BATMAN: STREETS OF GOTHAM #1
Written by Paul Dini and Marc Andreyko
Art by Dustin Nguyen & Derek Fridolfs and Georges Jeanty & Karl Story
Cover by Dustin Nguyen
Variant cover by JG Jones

An all-new Batman series by the DETECTIVE COMICS creative team of Paul Dini and Dustin Nguyen!

As a new Batman rises on the streets of Gotham City, the heroes, villains and citizens take notice. How will the police feel about this new Batman, and can he control the crime in Gotham the way the old Batman did?

This new series also features a regular ongoing co-feature starring Manhunter written by Marc Andreyko and illustrated by Georges Jeanty (Buffy Season 8)! Kate Spencer lost a friend during the chaos of BATTLE FOR THE COWL, and now she wants payback. As usual, she'll use any means necessary to get it!

Of course I love Jeanty's work on the Buffy series, and I'm also a big fan of Marc Andreyko's work on Manhunter and Torso. I can't wait to see how Jeanty draws Kate Spencer! But EEEK. I don't want any of Kate's supporting cast to get killed!

Cool. Seems like Jeanty is getting some work from DC. I picked up the Faces of Evil: Deathstroke one shot a month or two back without realizing he had penciled that too. He did a good job, though it was a little odd seeing Ravager looking a whole lot like Buffy (but, you know, with silver hair and an eyepatch).

I guess Buffy season 8 has raised his profile some.
I wonder what this means for Buffy. Will he be off the title? I know it's only 6-8 pages, but still. I hope it doesn't mean his Buffy work will look rushed now. :(
