Yeah I don't think they got that right at all. I don't mind 'Supernatural' but Buffy alone could beat the boys, let alone Willow. She's way past urbs and chant! And Giles doesn’t just research, he knows things off the top of his head. Giles > Sam.

I agree about Team Angel though, except for Cordy apparently knowing more than Sam about folklore and demons ect. Ah.. ok, since when?

I bet I'll be really annoyed if I click on the link to read the article. It annoys me that people tend to undermine the Scoobies so much, even when they were only doing the work as a part-time thing, when they were younger.

Besides, power hungry Willow from the end of Season 6, would eat demon-blood Sam for breakfast.

If the Charmed Ones beat the Winchesters then Willow with her much more varied power would wipe the freaking floor with them, with or without Buffy. The list seems rather skewed towards the Winchesters, especially with the Ghost Whisperer/Medium stuff.

Also, they beat Superman? In what bizzaro world?

Superman is vulnerable to magic, always has been. So it depends on the circumstances but the Scoobs entire could beat Big Blue (and maybe Willow on her own - anyone without magic abilities wouldn't have much chance though).

Never seen 'Supernatural' so can't comment on that.

I love the boys dearly, but no way are they beating the Scoobies. And honestly, if you look at the issues the Winchesters have versus the one the Scoobies have, there's no contest. While Sam and Dean were arguing over their dad and God knows what else, Buffy and Co. would have throttled the two of them and headed off for the Bronze. ;)

I think most of the stuff they post on TWoP is crap. Here's just another fine example. "Supernatural" is a really good show, and "The Boys" are certainly easy on the eyes. But better than the Scoobies? Puhleeze. Sam's tech skills may rival Willow's, but she has the added advantage of being one of the most powerful witches is the Western Hemisphere. And Giles's knowledge & wisdom always trumps Sam's online research abilities. And, oh yeah, Buffy could whip both those pretty boys' asses without breaking a sweat.

I'm not surprised people are underestimating the Winchesters here, considering this is Whedonesque and not Winchesteresque.

Sam has tech skills, demon skills, and the ability to research musty old books just like Giles, not to mention his demon woman friend and the fact that he can also kick a lot of physical ass. Dean has superb marksmanship and a +20 to all Supernatural Lore rolls because, come on, they've been doing this since they were tots. He also has special demon AND angel knowledge, and who knows what favors he can pull from lesser gods. Current season Sam and Dean would put up a very good fight, but in the end I think they'd be smart enough to know they shouldn't even be fighting the Scoobies since they're on the same side. And they'd all go to the Bronze and get plastered -- after wasting whatever bad vampires they come across. (The cow-sucking vamps can stick around, especially since one of them would look eerily familiar to Willow...)

Have to agree with Pretty_Hate_Machine that these kinds of things are generally without sense. And as much as I enjoy Supernatural, I think TWoP is just . . . well, anyway, I'll just say that this vs. thing seems wildly skewed to "the boys."

I as well agree with LiLi. However, I also find it funny that no one has pointed out how there are just the 2 boys vs the scooby gang. How is that in anyway fair to start with? So to keep things fair why not a, who would win if Buffy had to fight everyone in the Supernatural verse.

I think everybody's missing the point here. It's not about who would win in a fight. Because, duh, Buffy would wipe the floor with the Winchesters, and if you add in Willow from the later seasons of the show... dude, it's no contest. Scoobies all the way.

But that's not what this article's about. It's about who would be the first to solve a supernatural-related mystery. And in that area, I've gotta side with the boys. They've been investigating mysteries since they were kids. They know how to cheat the system to get info (pose as cops/feds/etc.), they have tons of knowledge about the supernatural world, they have/had a network of people to help them (Bobby, Ruby, Pamela, the angels, etc.) and figuring out whodunnit (or in this case, would it be whatdunnit?) and stopping them is their raison d'être. They clearly have the edge.
