Very nice. His Buffy keeps getting better. I can identify everyone but the center guy. Anyone know who that is?

I was about to say that was an old picture, but I couldn't remember where I saw it from. Then it struck me. It's from his booth at NYCC.

He did a great job on this, but I don't think his Buffy is getting better. If you look at his art in #23 and his pretty terrible art to #26, you'll notice that he's starting to get sloppy and very sketchy. Where are half those character's noses? I know there are a lot of characters, but wide-shots were Jeanty's #1 strength at the beginning of season eight. Comparing this to his covers like #15 and #11, or even his interior work, it seems as if he either is having trouble hitting deadlines and rushing, or just getting a bit too comfortale with the characters.

what i find cool is: look at Georges' back drop art and then compare it to Buffy #26 Jo Chen Cover (the next image below on the page). There's a lot of similarities in terms of how characters have been arranged and positioned on the page, especially in Buffy's head's positioning. cool!

Who I believe you think is Kid Justice is actually Superboy; the X-Man is Bishop as he was in the 'Bishop: The Last X-Man' series which Georges drew (best use of the character ever, in my opinion); and I expect the hippo is a reference to Richard Starkings's Hip Flask.

The hippo seema to be a big theme with Georges, on his website the first thing wee see is a big hippobefore we enter the site.

I can't help but worry that Georges' quality is going to drop on Buffy now that he's doing an additional ten pages a month for DC's Manhunter backup.

Riker, He is not, he did the Manhunter back up a while ago (we just talked about it when he sent me the image which is now up on the site)... it's just a one-shot thing, he's not doing it every month.
