New James Marsters interview, including his take on fandom. Nice interview with James in which he talks about filming, showing off and fandom.

Whilst this interview repeats information we've already seen about Dragonball Evolution it also has an interesting section about how James sees the fans which is well worth a read. Also the bit about James showing off for his girlfriend is cute :)

Nice find! Thanks, deb.

I can't help it... that man will just always be adorable to me. :)
Oh that was a great little read. Thanks for that.
LOL Boys will be boys. ;)
Love the part about the fans. Because it's all about ME!!;)
So young in spirit - maybe that is how he manages to look a decade younger than his chronological age!
This article just reinforces for me the reason I adore James Marsters in anything he does. Thanks for posting.
I'm sorry but I find that every time I read one of his interviews that my eyes are rolling uncontrollably. Maybe I'm letting Spike seep through my view of the actor, but I just find him quite conceded.
I've met James a number of times. Conceited isn't a word that comes to mind.
Quite conceded??

I do not think that word means what you think it means :)

I think he's very amusing in interviews.

And he's one of the least conceited people I've ever met.

At least he appreciates his fans! He doesn't just sit at home making babies!

There's no answer to that.

Can we get back to the interview and out of Dimension "Let's Confuse Simon at an Hour Way Past His Bedtime".
He really sounds like it's important to him to be a good dad. I liked the part where he explained the difference between true men and overgrown boys to his son. If more dads explained this to their sons we'd have a lot less posturing and needless harm done in this world.

A very enjoyable read, and he seems to be enjoying his work very much. He appreciates his fans, and at the same time knows he can't just coast on his popularity, he has to keep the quality of his work at his best. The sign of a true artist.

That really struck me,too. JM actually got me into the world of online fandom, and it's a pleasure to observe how he's grown as a person in the last several years.

Yeah, the mature stuff about real men was great, but what I really loved was the amusing, self-deprecating stuff about him showing off for his girlfriend. Pretty much the sweetest thing ever...
