Utilikilts salutes Serenity in a Mockumercial. Fruity Oaty... Kilts? The Utilikilts Company evidently has a long tradition of spoofing themselves and their favorite Genre through mock commercials. Click on "Serenity" to see a creepifying tribute to a certain commercial that causes teenage girls to pitch a fit. Subliminal Messages optional.

A big "Xie-xie" to Turtle on the NE Browncoats Yahoo Group for first bringing this to my attention.

I laughed out loud. Very cute. I have always wanted to buy a Utilikilt for my husband. It's possible I might even get him to wear it. But would he go regimental? I think not.

I'm a proud Utilikiltarian and I love their Mockumercials. It never occurred to me to link to this though, mostly because that particular entry is not even close to the best one. It's actually kind of annoying. But still, two of my favorite things, kilts and the 'Verse coming together can only be good.

I waited a long time before deciding to post this, but suspected we probably had some Kiltarians amongst us (Hi haunt, nice to meet you!). There are a lot of commercials, and I admit that the Serenity one isn't the best... but it's the Shiniest! :D

I didn't know that Alvin and the Chipmunks did music for customer-created commercials now. I guess everyone needs a little extra scratch these days.

Yes, extremely creepy, but funny nonetheless. Ironically enough, I just saw the Fruity Oaty scene on USA Network. It seems they're airing it on USA Network today (started at 2:30pm, EDT) and nobody knew about it!

I now have a strange overwhelming desire to go buy a Utilikilt. While do not feel like kicking any ass, I am sure if I tried to wear one of those to a bar I would probably have to.
