Crimson Dark Inspired by Firefly. Artist David C. Simon shares some insights into the origins of his superb webcomic: "As a fan of Firefly, and having recently started watching the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, I found myself dreaming of a series which combined the characterisation and dialogue of the former with the space battles and explosions of the latter."

Since the story is on hiatus due to David's heavy academic load, now is a great time to catch up on the first eight chapters.

I'd never heard of it, but it looks like it may be interesting. I'll have to read it when I'm not at work. ;-)
I've never heard of it either and I'm not really into comics but I read the first chapter and am really enjoying it! I think the artwork looks great.
It's definitely strong on the characterizations, as I recall. Been a year or more since I read it consistently.
