BtVS - The Complete Seasons 1-4 on DVD. This region 1 boxset will be released on October 14th.

I was expecting BtVS The Complete Seasons 1-7 to be released in region 2 next year but I wasn't expecting this. To be fair to Fox, they will hopefully release Seasons 5-7 as a boxset as well.

But is anyone here going to buy this item?

Re-issue! Re-package! Re-package!
Re-evaluate the songs
Double-pack with a photograph
Extra Track (and a tacky badge)

The Smiths - Paint a Vulgar Picture

Is there any kind of benefit to buying it? Like, more commentary or something? If not, I've already spent enough on the Fox DVD franchise as it is...
What's the point in buying it now? If I hadn't already bought the first 4, maybe. Even then, I'd have rather bought all 7 seasons in one. But I'm sure there are people out there who haven't bought the DVDs yet, somewhat less die-hard fans and/or people who haven't yet discovered Buffy. So, for them.
$120 is slightly cheaper than 28+45+45+42=$160 if you were going to buy all four. You'd think you'd get a bigger discount, tho...
Some time ago I suggested they make Seasons 5-7 avaialable as a boxed set in time for Christmas this year...I'd buy several, to be sure.

But seeing as I already own mulitple copies of 1-4, I like forcorreo, don't understand the logic of buying them all over again for myself.
Wait, they can get Seasons 1-4 out for October, but they can't get S5 and Firefly out in December? What kind of crap is this? And since I already own S1-4, I don't see any reason to buy them again.
Yeah! And did they even say WHY they can't get season 5 out by December? If they did, I missed it...
They are probably just taking pre-existing sets and putting them in a heavy slip-case, if they're smart they will allow those of us who already have 1 thru 4 to get our hands on these through some proof of purchase promotion.
Or a heavy duty rubber band.
I just rent them via Netflix.com whenever I get a hankerin' to see certain episodes. Just finished season two of Angel. Gee whiz the last few episodes just took a major left turn into wackiness didn't it?

I've learned my lesson from the VHS days. What's the point of buying these darn things at all? I got videotapes and cassette tapes and compact discs and vinyl. I may even have an eight track tape hidden somewhere in a closet or the attic. Money just thrown away. I mean how many times can I put a tape of When Harry Met Sally or The Truman Show into the VCR before the tape just becomes a paperweight?
I don't buy VHS tapes any more, unless its for my kids... but I LOVE owning the DVDs. The sheer fact of ownership, the knowledge that I have some of the best eps ever on television, and great BtVS on demand are just three reasons.

I guess its just the Collector Gene. First it was Barbies, then Star Trek, now BtVS. Can't help myself...
I have two sisters and a few friends who haven't bought the individual season DVDs. They just borrow mine. A Complete Season 1-4 would be a great holiday gift for them.
