I'm really hoping that this and the Maladys will help boost Sarah's career in terms of critical reception. They both sound like creatively strong projects that will highlight her considerable skills, and I hope they both reach a wide audience.

It also seems that it was shown yesterday at the Cannes festival !

And SMG will be great in this role, no doubt. The film looks excellent. Plus for Melissa Leo, as well.
I agree with you Ildeth, in hoping both projects boost SMG's critical reception and potential audience. She's earned it.

Thinking that in our current mega-recession - when folks are flocking to see the likes of Paul Blart: Mall Cop, a movie titled "Veronika Decides To Die" might need some marketing magic.

Yes, yes, yes. That's my hope, too. She totally deserves it.

Tortonto has never been confirmed .
It was an invitation only screening in Cannes yesterday and apparently according to Paulo Cohello "I just met the producer of Veronika decides to die who informed me that the world premiere will take place in Korea "

But must read the book before seeing the movie... excited and possibly moving the book up to the top of my list.

Koreans dig drama big time. Generally speaking, of course. Should generate rave reviews there. Some popular Korean drama is tear-jerking, heart-tearing stuff.
