How I Met Your Mother Returning in September. Though shooting starts pretty late on this, the fifth season starts September 21st.

I'm curious as to what you mean by "shooting started pretty late"... They haven't started shooting yet and won't for another month at least.

I'm still bummed by the fact that the Season 4 DVD comes out after the first two episodes of Season 5 air.

They usually go back in July like most shows, but I think they're going back a little later this year to give Aly and Cobie more time with their families. Aly tweeted a week or so ago that they go back in a couple of months.
