Scott Allie's Metal Crypt Interview. Dark Horse Comics' editor explains what he looks for in an artist, tells his own origin tale, and talks briefly with someone in one of the books he edits -- Robin Balzer of Buffy Season Eight!

Robin's hubbie and Whedonesque poster Jerrod Balzer co-hosts.

A collection of Allie's five-issue Solomon Kane series (with extra sketchbook section) comes out July 29. He's also putting the finishing touches on a graphic novel, Exurbia.

On choosing an artist: “When Joss and I were looking for artists for Buffy, we had like this sort of, you know, ideal vision of the book, and then it was all about finding the right guy who could achieve that.”
