Joss Whedon: A Sing-Along, Screening and Q&A. In NYC on September 21. Joss will host a screening of Dr Horrible and special guests will also appear at this benefit for 826NYC.

Bought mine wooohooo! Finally Joss will be in NYC for a sing-a-long, and for some reason I'm more excited that it's for Dr. Horrible than Buffy. This is going to be great. I actually met Joss 5 1/2 years ago outside this same building when he took part in the Stephen Sondheim tribute. Craziness.

Except when looking at the link provided, there IS no up to date information posted about this event. In fact, there is no event posting past the first week of August, and no page items for the Sing-A-Long. LOL

newcj - I waited in line allll dayyyy but never got in. All my friends ended up leaving me because I held onto the hope that I'd make it inside when Joss would be on stage (they were more interested in Sondheim - we were all our high school's production of Into The Woods a week before). I listened to his "segment" through the outdoor speakers, but a little while after he finished, he came strolling out the doors with his entourage of friends and passed right in front of me. I freaked out, chased him across the street, and had him sign my OMWF companion book. It was glorious.

Seriously cannot believe I was in high school when that happened and now I'm a college grad. Time really does fly. Hope you can make it!!

I ordered mine yesterday and got an email confirmation almost immediately. But I was checking my CC for something else and didn't see the transaction. I've never paid much attention how long that kind of thing takes to go through. So, anyone else seeing it listed on their credit card accounts already?

(And no, I am not saying there is something wrong. I'm just curious to see how long this type of thing takes to show up on my statement online.)

Yeah, I'm hoping for lovely reports too! And from San Diego Comic-Con. 2nd best thing to being there.

I call my credit card companies and get recent transactions and balances. They usually say balance may not relect transactions made in the last 24 hours. So it is normal for things not to show up for a day or two. I have one credit card that says here is your balance and there are these pending transactions even though they were at a store and there is nothing pending about the transaction at all. Then they show up in a day or two as a real transaction. It is probably the same with online transactions.

malformed, check to see if your computer put your whole phone number in the area code slot. That's what my computer did (through autoformat) and I got the same "invalid" message. When I finally put my cursor into the slot and scrolled, I found the whole number in there (hitherto unseen). I deleted the extra numbers and presto! All fixed. The tix became mine. Worth a try.
