Hmm. Not impressed with the book selection. I only see one board book there. At least it is Goodnight Moon. But Golden books? Really?

What I find to be funny is no matter how much money the guests might have, they still just shove the gifts in a bag with some tissue paper and call it a day. Some don't even bother to use a different bag, just left them in the bag from the store.

I wonder how the East Coast shower went.

1. Could there be a more fabulous dress to be P-Regnant in?
2. "She's going to be an extraordinary mom!" Safe bet, Ms. Trachtenberg.
3. Cupcakes are the new cakes. Or at least should be.
4. I think Sarah Michelle collected Dr. Seuss as a grown up, but she may have to invest in the "board book" versions now. They're more . . . chewable. :)

Lioness...what's wrong with Golden Books? I read those as a kid and read them to my girls today. Didn't realize there was something wrong with those books...

Anyways, I thought I had read somewhere that Michelle wasn't that close to anyone from the cast. Nice to see I was mistaken. But Sarah really does look great.

Well, isn't she something like 10 years younger than most of the rest of them?

But she and Sarah were on 'All My Children' together too, and according to several interviews it was Sarah's suggestion to Joss that got Michelle auditioned for the job on 'Buffy', so they have a lot of history together.

Yes, Sarah and Michelle have been close since the AMC days, seriously pre-BtVS, and MT is an adult by now anyway.

And there really is no such thing as "most of the rest of them" since they're spread out over 10 years from Charisma down to Mercedes and Eliza. Smidge is towards the lower end of the bunch but that probably doesn't affect this much.

I think Michelle and Amber still keep in touch. (amber once said Michelle and Sarah were crying the most visibly when shooting on "Seeing Red" wrapped.) And Amber is only a couple months older than Sarah.

The Poky Little Puppy was one of my favorite books back in the day. I had tons of Golden books growing up. One of our local hamburger joints gave kids a Golden Book instead of a prize with their meal. They rock.

And SM(G)P and Michelle look beautiful. Yay for lil one having so many cool presents.

And yes, cupcakes should be the new cake.

Poky Little Puppy was my first book ever. Also, the Color Kittens, who started me on the visual arts road, according to my mother, who always managed to find the extra coin to buy me a Golden Book when food shopping.

Those Little Golden Books were some of the first really inexpensive children's books- they were so cheap that anyone could afford them, and you could buy them at the supermarket. That way, you could have some books of your very own that didn't have to go back to the library, back in the day.

They were pretty well selected as I remember, and I loved my little collection.

Since there is so much Golden Books love, I will say that I had them as a child as well. But generally speaking they are not as well written or illustrated as kids' books from the other more mainstream publishers. There is a reason they are so cheap.
I doubt anyone is interested enough to have me go into it but there are books published that are absolutely appropriate for babies and I don't see them here. Where the wild things are and yes, Poky little puppy, are classics. Just not suitable for a 1 month old!

Sarah's a collector of children's books, so she's probably stocked up. I'm sure they can use the books when the baby is older. It's not like they'll disintegrate or go to waste because they're not suited for a 1 month old.

There are pregnancy-safe hairdyes. Also, pregnant women are allowed to drink coffee according to doctor's orders and yes, they can also paint their nails. :)

I didn't mention coffee, altho an author on the Kitten ahd a pregnant Tara giving it up.

Thanks for the info on the dyes being available, altho I'm not rewriting anything I've already done :-).

I'm sure it'll be beautiful child; well, I hope, altho the looks of the parents don't always blend well.
