(SPOILER) Jeffrey Bell demoted on "V" remake, according to Michael Ausiello. "The studio wasn't happy with the quality and the timeliness of the scripts show-runner Jeff Bell was delivering, so they bumped him to the No. 2 spot." (Spoilers for other tv shows).

I'm sure "V" will be great whatever happens.

Who else is behind it, showrunner(s?) and writing-wise ?

This of course makes some folks wonder if Bell's scripts actually were pretty good, just not in fitting with the studio's view of what they wanted the show to be. And it's another instance of, like Dollhouse and Firefly, we'll never know what the show would've been like without a major move of network interference like this (yes, I know it's business and they're protecting their investment).
Isn't "V" Scott Peters show anyway?
The good news is they aren't re-using the same scripts from the first go-around.
Hmmm. Bell's Harper's Island scripts weren't as good as his Angel's...perhaps this is an upsetting trend?
Some people aren't great showrunners. But at the same time, there's no way we can know that about Jeff. It could just be Network/writer disagreement. If Joss wasn't Joss, maybe he would have been demoted when they put Dollhouse on hiatus. There's really no telling what goes on between the networks and the studios during these things.
I guess the test will be seeing how long he stays. If the studio really don't like his work (i.e. they want to fire him but can't because of the pre-air bad buzz that'd start - few things are more likely to have a show in trouble than the idea that the show's in trouble) then surely he's either going to leave himself or be "encouraged" to leave, probably a few episodes into the season. Because who wants to work at a place where the boss thinks you can't do the job ? If he continues on right through the season then we can probably write this off as rumour.
