Live breast cancer auctions at lisawalks.com include Whedon faves! The latest batch of live auctions to benefit The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer at lisawalks.com includes a pink boxing glove signed by main cast and creative team for Dr. Horrible and bears signed by James Marsters, Morena Bacarrin, Jewel Staite, Ron Glass, Mark Sheppard and Kristy Swanson.

Other shows represented in this batch of auctions include Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Pushing Daisies, Stargate, Doctor Who/Torchwood, Fringe, Glee, and Flight of the Conchords. There are also a bunch of Broadway folks.

You know, I'm going to the Dr. Horrible screening tonight and hoping to get Joss to sign another bear (both times he's done it so far, it's been at Symphony Space, so, fingers crossed! ;))... and I did a little research last night so I could tell him how much has been raised by items signed by people in his various projects.

The total since 2004 is almost $7,000... and the current bids on Whedon-related bears and the Dr. Horrible glove are totalling an additional $600+.

So, in short, Joss Whedon and his actors, writers and fans ROCK!! :)

Thanks so much to everyone who's ever bid on, or spread the word about, the auctions. :)
That's wonderful that so much money has been raised! To all those who have donated and all those who have bid, thanks for your generosity. I don't think there's anyone left who hasn't had breast cancer touch their life somehow. If there is, then they're darn lucky. I have four immediate relatives myself - all survivors.

That said... that there's a thread title that made me blink twice and laugh in a sick black humor sort of way. "Live Breast Cancer Auctions" --No thank you. I'm hoping to avoid that, actually.
